Education and Personal Background

I have a BA in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State and a JD from St. Mary’s University School of Law. I was a Texas Peace Officer for 12 years and am now a licensed attorney with the State Bar of Texas.

My criminal law experience includes internships with the Williamson County Attorney’s Office and the Bexar County Managed Assigned Counsel Office, work in the Criminal Justice Clinic at St. Mary’s representing clients under supervised practice, and law clerk roles in private firms before and after the bar.

From 2004–2023 I owned and ran Diamond M of Texas, a small construction and consulting company. I was a licensed septic (OSSF) installer and site evaluator, handled client relations, accounting, project management, and operated heavy equipment—backhoes, trenchers, excavators, dozers—doing hands-on work from planning to completion. I grew up working in construction, hay farming, and cattle ranching with my father.

I am now a practicing attorney and business owner, a founding partner of Manglberger and Thomson, PLLC in Bandera, focusing mainly on criminal, family, and probate law..
